A ceremony where glasses are given to underprivileged children in Thoi Binh

Twelve-year-old Anh Tai (third from the right in the photograph) has not been to school for the last three years. He could see next to nothing, let alone read. Even his mother thought he was blind.

Fortunately, it is now possible to organize eye exams for children even in a province as remote as Thoi Binh, where Anh Tai lives. He turned out to be nearsighted with -15 in both eyes and all he needed were glasses. He can now see again and go to school.

By training optometrists in Vietnam, we ensure that children with poor vision can be helped effectively and immediately. With a donation of €5 a month you can help six children a year get the glasses they need.
