About the Board of Supervisors

The Supervisory Board, which officially transitioned from the Board of Directors on January 1, 2024, is comprised of five members, each with a specific area of focus: Chair, Eye Care, Finance & Operations, Personnel & Organization, and Fundraising & Sponsorship. Members are appointed by the president for a specified term of four years, with the possibility of renewal. The board convenes six times a year, predominantly on Thursday evenings, to deliberate on matters critical to the foundation’s mission and objectives.

Moreover, the Supervisory Board plays a pivotal role in shaping the foundation’s strategic direction, endorsing the importance of international cooperation and sustainability within local networks. As we prepare to evaluate our current multi-year plan (2021-2025) and draft a new roadmap for the future, the insights and guidance of the Supervisory Board will be invaluable.

The Supervisory Board is unremunerated. Business expenses are reimbursed.
