“I have myopia and wear glasses with a correction of –5. When I was a teenager, I used to have special glasses with pinholes to do eye exercises. Only since working for ECF, I have realized how lucky it is that I have always had these tools at my disposal.”
Lilia has been working as a freelancer at the Eye Care Foundation since 2018. She was initially hired to manage the production of the ECF 35th-anniversary publication but continued to support the foundation by managing its Communications portfolio afterward. Next to her project at ECF, Lilia has worked for various cultural institutions including UNESCO and the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
Lilia used to want to become a doctor, so being able to contribute to the healthcare sector and to the mission of the Eye Care Foundation through Communications has been very rewarding to her.
