New wing Mechi Eye Hospital officially opened!

03 May 2016

The Mechi Eye Hospital is in the process of becoming independent. To this end they are expanding their range of services, which will help generate more income. Eye Care Foundation is supporting them in this endeavour.

New hospital wing

The new hospital wing just opened. Paying patients can go there for treatment. This is the Robin Hood or ‘rich subsidizing the poor’ system: the healthcare is identical, but those patients who can afford it, pay (partially) for the health care of those who cannot afford to pay for it themselves.
