Organise a collection in your church

Seeing is not something everyone can take for granted. Even today, children and adults in countries like Cambodia and Tanzania live with poor vision or blindness, while a simple eye screening, a pair of glasses, or a cataract operation could dramatically change their lives. Restoring someone’s sight not only improves that individual life, but also benefits their family by enabling them to earn a living and giving children the opportunity to develop without limitations.

With your church or parish, you can make a real difference by organising a collection for Eye Care Foundation.

Organise a collection in a way that suits your church

We support churches and parishes with modern and accessible ways of collecting donations, in line with your service and church life. In addition to a traditional cash collection, you can choose from two options:

1. Collecting with your own QR code
Does your church already have its own QR code for donations? You can use it during the service, on posters, or at the church exit. Donations go through your own system, after which you transfer the total amount to us, just as you would with a cash collection.

2. A QR code and online collection box via Eye Care Foundation
Does your church not yet have its own QR code? We are happy to create one for you. You will also receive an online collection box on the Eye Care Foundation campaign platform, where you can easily track the total amount raised. All digital donations are transferred directly to us. We will set up the collection box for you, after which you can manage and share it with your community.

When signing up, you can indicate which option you prefer.

Choice for 2026: working together towards better vision

In 2026, your church can choose to organise a collection for eye care through Eye Care Foundation.

The proceeds will be used for:

Eye screenings for children and adults
Providing glasses, enabling people to learn, read, and work again
Making cataract surgeries possible, so people can regain their sight

In this way, your congregation or parish contributes to lasting change for people in Cambodia or Tanzania.

Making the collection visible in your church

To help raise awareness for the collection, you can order a poster to display in your church.

The poster includes:

Information about the project in Cambodia or Tanzania
A QR code from Eye Care Foundation that allows church members to donate directly to our bank account, or
Your own QR code, enabling donations to go to your church’s bank account, which you can then transfer to us

In the form below, you can indicate your preference. You will also receive photos and information by email, so you can share more about the collection in your newsletter or parish magazine. This helps bring the story behind the collection to life and increases engagement within your church community.

By organising a collection together, your church helps restore sight to children and adults. Restoring someone’s vision opens up new opportunities: adults can return to work, and children can develop without the limitations of avoidable blindness or visual impairment.
