Eye Care Foundation has been working with the National Program for Eye Health (NPEH) since 1994 to eliminate avoidable blindness and vision impairment.
How we collaborate in Cambodia
In the past 27 years, Eye Care Foundation has expanded its Cambodian projects to nine provinces by collaborating with provincial health services. It has enabled to provide care for the disenfranchised in the most remote areas.
Our projects in Cambodia are always in collaboration with the National Program for Eye Health (NPEH). ECF supplies mobile eye camps to isolated provinces Pailin, Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear, areas where communities are still recovering from the impact of the Rode Khmer regim, and the province Mondulkiri. In Stung Treng, Tbong Khmum, Ratanakiri, Kratie and Svay Rieng ECF support the provisions of eye care services – such as eye exams in villages and schools, cataract and other eye surgeries – and supporting the education of eye care health professionals.

As Eye Care Foundation, our dream is to end avoidable blindness and visual impairment, thereby improving the socio-economic and socio-cultural position of vulnerable people, enabling them to reach their full potential.
