With the help of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the provinces of Xiengkhuang and Houaphan, eye operations and check-ups were carried out among the students in the Kham district.
The mission was led by Dr. Ms. Viengmone, deputy director of the Xiengkhouang Hospital and a total of 11 patients underwent eye surgery, 62 eye examinations were performed and 3 glasses were distributed.
