Nepalese ophthalmologist Anil Parajuli at the Rotterdam Eye Hospital
In March, ophthalmologist Anil Parajuli was in the Netherlands for a glaucoma fellowship at the Rotterdam Eye Hospital (OZR), supported by Eye Care Foundation.
Dr Anil works at the Himalaya Eye Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal, where he plays a crucial role in improving eye care. He regularly travels to primary eye care centers in remote areas to support local teams with his expertise.
During his visit, we organized a lecture in Haarlem, where Anil Parajuli and Anil Gorkhaly (ECF Nepal Country Director) shared their insights on eye care programs in Nepal. It was an inspiring and informative session for all attendees!
Dr Anil really appreciated his fellowship in Rotterdam and he learned a lot. But also from the side of the OZR his stay was very much appreciated. As Dr Chang Lui of the OZR said:
“We also found it enriching to hear the stories about eye care in Nepal and how things are going in the Himalaya eye hospital in Nepal.”
