Eye Care Foundation receives the highest Order of Cambodia

We are pleased to announce that the Eye Care Foundation, in the name of Björn Stenvers, (CEO) and Sambath Pol (country director Cambodia & Laos) of the Eye Care Foundation, have been awarded the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Cambodia by His Majesty Samdech Preah Boramaneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia.

This on the occasion of the forty years of contribution to eye care worldwide, in particular for the support in the remote areas of Cambodia.

His Excellency Dr. Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, presented the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Cambodia to Stenvers and Pol at the grand official Ceremony on March 23, 2023, in Tbong Khmum.

The Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Cambodia is the highest decoration of Cambodia. 

Currently, the four Cambodian eye care NGO directors and their CEOs (including ECF) are working on the successful implementation of the National Multi-Year Strategy 2030 eye care in Cambodia
