Nepal celebrates World Sight Day

In Nepal, various activities took place on World Sight Day. Mechi Eye Hospital, together with the Dristi Eye Hospital, organized a parade. 50 employees of these hospitals walked through the city with banners of World Sight Day and with information on the importance of proper eye care. In this way they contribute to the awareness of eye diseases and eye care. The chairman of the Mechi Eye Hospital, Mr. Dinesh Mittal, also joined the parade.

In addition, the Mechi Eye Hospital organized a blood donation camp.

At Himalaya Eye Hospital and in the Gorkha Primary Eye Care Center, people could get there eye checked for free. If necessary, they received medication. Some people also had cataract surgery free of cost.
