17 day trip to Laos with the Eye Care Foundation

This impressive 17 day trip will introduce you to the work of the Eye Care Foundation in Laos. With only seven million inhabitants, Laos is one of the least populated and one of the least developed countries in Asia. In Vientiane you will meet our Laotian employee Khounkham Inthasone and visit the National Ophthalmic Institute. In the provinces of Xieng Khouang and Houaphan you will be given a tour of the eye clinics.

And of course you will get to know the different minority groups, with their varied culture and authentic villages. You will experience the untouched, lush nature during the tour through the provinces. Of course a visit to the Plain of Jars is included in the program. Scattered over three locations are hundreds of gigantic jars, the largest three meters high, whose origin is still unknown. In the north of Laos we make a beautiful boat trip. You will conclude this varied journey in Luang Prabang. The relaxed, colonial atmosphere, the delicious food and the green surroundings make it worthwhile to stay here for a few days.

The trip will take place from November 13th until November 29th 2018.
